This image highlights the engagement session taken at The House of Refuge in Stuart, Florida. Featuring our bride and groom to be in the waters of the Indian River, silhouetted against a great sunset with dramatic shadows and outstanding colors.
The choice of ultra low angle point of view and wide angle lens really highlight the details in the water and sky. this image not only graces our studio wall, but is on our clients as well as being selected as the cover image for Treasure Coast Brides Magazine.
When shooting engagement sessions, we shoot using a variety of techniques and focal lengths as well as lighting strategies. Here, obviously, we chose to silhouette them for effect using the sunset as the sole lighting source. However we did not stop there, as in this session, were also a vast variety of shots where we chose to light our couple to match the ambient (surrounding) light. The combination of techniques and lighting strategies is something unique to brads creative images, and results in an amazing array of incredible images. Only problem, will be choosing which one(s) to use on your wall, or save the date card.
