Most of you know we were away last week in New England for our summer vacation. We stayed in  house in the New Bedford Ma area, and explored from there.  Taking in all the sights from Boston, Plymouth, Providence and much more.  The food was terrific (so Debbie tells me since I dont eat seafood ). Continue reading »]]> Great news!  We just found out that in the June 2010 issue of Golf Magazine, one of our shots of Ernie Els was published on pg 80!  This marks the first time a magazine of this magnitude had published one of our images, hopefully the first of many  Too bad Golf Mag, forgot to print the photo credit!!!!!!!

Continue reading »]]> There is something about a beach wedding in the springtime….the water is clean, the sky’s blue as can be, the breezes cool,  and the temps havent yet gotten out of hand like they will be in summer.  Saturday was no exception.  Tara and Michael tied the knot at the wonderful Hilton Singer Island.  They really do beach weddings in style.  Little details, like having a “mini floor” actually on the beach so all the ladies with heels can actually walk to the ceremony…..its just a great place to host a beach wedding.  While most beach venues, can have the ceremony on the beach, the reception is inside a ballroom….well, the folks at the Hilton have taken the ballroom and put it on the beach!!  Its really the best of both worlds as your ballroom is a huge open air pavilion that affords all the comfort of the ballroom yet preserves the true beach wedding feeling.   Saturday also had the coolest wicked red full moon rising out of the sea….it was truly spectacular, and one of those things you’d have totally missed in an ordinary ballroom.  DJ Ron from Kenny Mondo, spun the music all night as the party rolled on into the night.  Feel free to share any comments you wish at the end of this post, and you can see all their photos HERE ]]> http://www.bciphoto.com/blog/2009/05/beach-wedding-at-hilton-singer-island-in-springtimedoes-it-get-any-better-than-this/feed/ 2 http://www.bciphoto.com/blog/2009/03/honda-classic-final-round/ http://www.bciphoto.com/blog/2009/03/honda-classic-final-round/#comments Mon, 09 Mar 2009 14:29:40 +0000 admin http://www.bciphoto.com/blog/?p=1263

Continue reading »]]> So after taking Saturday off to shoot baseball, its back to the Honda Classic where Y. E. Yang became the first Korean since K.J. Choi to win on the PGA tour.

Basically the PGA courses are set into a wetland area…lots of great nature shots too.

Yang makes short work of the 18th at PGA National’s Champion course to seal the victory.

Understandably excited, Yang celebrates his first tour victory…..see him at Augusta next month too.

Hey everyone, we had just a couple hrs to shoot the opening day of the 2009 PGA Honda Classic yesterday in Palm Bch Gardens.  True to its name, the Bear Trap (15,16,17) grabbed lots of  players as they made their way in on this very windy afternoon.  We’ll be out for more today and Sunday too!!

The 17th hole and the 3rd hole of the Bear Trap,  shown above was a stearn test indeed with the wind howling into the players faces, and the everpresent water looming off to the right and short to catch any shots not hit exactly pure.

Continue reading »]]> Hey Everyone, we are leading a photo excursion today to the Viera Wetlands in Melbourne. One of the premier birding sites on Florida’s east coast, affords not only hiking access but much of the park is accessible from your vehicle which also makes for a good blind. Will post some images later!!! Ok…its later….you guys

have got to go to this place. Its really accessable, and some great photo ops too! No charge to enter, and you can drive all around, in fact the birds and other animals arent nearly as skittish of cars as they are of folks wandering around. Bring some long glass, and a few drinks and enjoy the sunset..or sunrise if you are so inclined.

Continue reading »]]> In this business, we meet all kinds of terrific people “in the biz”. Every once in a while, some of these folks who are “in the biz” need to get married too!! Saturday we were honored to be able to photograph the wedding of 2 of the nicest people in the biz we’ve ever met; Teresa and John, both from Harbour Ridge CC in Palm City. Opting for something other than a CC wedding, the High Tide Beach Grill on Hutchinson Island was the venue of choice. Unfortunately the recent storms have reeked havoc on the coastline, and much of the beach is now gone out to sea, which made taking any ‘stroll down the beach” shots a bit more challenging. Once we got in, Steve and Ronda from Street Talk Orchestra took the reigns for the reception and shared time with DJ Jay and the party rocked on into the wee hours. Congrats again John and Teresa!! You can see the entire wedding in our Client Area .

as you can see, it was an odd day weather wise, but no manner of clouds could put a damper on their spirit.

Continue reading »]]> It is with a heavy heart that I write about the passing of a good friend, a great photographer, and a pioneer; Colyn Rees. A native of Bermuda, Colyn was a B26A pilot for the RAF during WW2, and as a pilot and photographer, has chronicled the development of the Bahamas for nearly 60 years. His collection of images is nothing short of breathtaking and truly depicts Abaco and the surrounding islands of the Bahamas as they were prior to the recent tourism boom which has developed the islands to an almost unrecognizable mecca for Americans and Euros alike. You can read a bit more about his life HERE.

As friend; he will be dearly missed. Rest in Peace my friend….and my heartfelt sympathies go out to Trisha and the rest of his family.
